HomeBlogsChris's blogCASA Archive - Preserve A Cappella History

Help me preserve our a cappella history by sending me your recordings. I am in the process of cataloging and adding to the CASA Archive, and I need your help to make it as complete as possible. It is already the largest collection of contemporary a cappella music in the world, and we want it to include every a cappella recording ever made. We have only one chance to get this right, as old recordings tend to get lost or trashed. Many groups don’t keep track of their old recordings, especially college groups who often don't know the alums who made them.

Please send me any CDs, LPs (records), cassettes, DVDs, VHS tapes, etc that we are missing (or where you have one in better condition).  If you have shrink-wrapped recordings, please send 2 of each.  If you have a collection and don’t want to go through it all, just send it all to me and I’ll go through it.

Send them to:

Here is a list of recordings I have cataloged so far in the CASA Archive:

I’ll be adding more to the list as I go.  I had planned to wait on this announcement until I had gotten through cataloging the whole archive, but I don’t want to lose the opportunity to save missing recordings in the meantime.

Any questions?
